Riders coach says Duron Carter release unrelated to team working out Terrell Owens

The top coach and normal supervisor of the Saskatchewan Roughriders says that releasing star receiver Duron Carter had nothing to do with working out Corridor of Famer Terrell Owens. Chris Jones says that the team wished to go in a unique path of Carter and that is what prompted the choice. The Roughriders minimize Carter on Saturday evening, lower than every week after working out Owens final Sunday in Chattanooga, Tenn. Carter tweeted earlier Sunday that he began getting calls from teammates on Saturday asking what occurred. He says that he finally texted Jones, who then known as him to give him the information that he was being launched. Carter has performed each offence and defence this season for Saskatchewan and has eight receptions for 111 yards and one landing in seven video games. https://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/cfl/carter-release-unrelated-to-roughriders-working-out-terrell-owens-says-coach-1.4782565?cmp=rss
